PFUJ condemns journalist's murder in Sindh

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has taken notice of senior journalist Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani’s murder in the jurisdiction of Dodapur Police Station.

PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi have urged the Sindh government and police to arrest the culprits behind this heinous crime.

“The murder must be independently investigated by the police. Sindh government must ensure an independent probe to get justice for the family of Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani,” PFUJ said.

Mandrani, a reporter with Sindhi newspaper Daily Koshish, was shot dead by two unknown assailants in Jacobabad district on Tuesday.

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with Mandrani’s murder.

On February 16, Aziz Memon, who also worked for Daily Koshish and Sindhi TV channel KTN News, was found dead in an irrigation canal in southern Sindh.
